Illuminated Bouquet blossomed into being after I was commissioned to create a piece for a women’s home. The home was looking to populate its walls with art, but I decided I wanted to give the home something which did more than make the wall pretty. The colors, composition, and medium selected for Illuminated bouquet are all part of a message which was painted to resonate with the women looking out on the world, to get them thinking: “maybe I stand out like these flowers do, too.”
